[Source] Southeast Asia publisher, Asiasoft, announced recently the complete takeover of Level Up! Philippines, a fellow games publisher in its native country. Despite being a behemoth in Southeast Asia, Asiasoft did not venture fully into Philippines until this deal happened.
Asiasoft, on 5th February 2014, announced a 70% investment, and later on 10th February announced a complete investment with the total price tagged at USD 4.2 million. According to reports, Level Up! Philippines suffered operational losses of USD 306,000 for the year ending 2013.
Asiasoft currently has several games such as Phantasy Star Online 2, Cabal II: The Neoforce Era and DC Universe Online being prepared, while also the distribution partner for Blizzard products in the SEA region, including Diablo III, its expansion Reaper of Souls and Hearthstone.
