Dislyte is a new upcoming mobile RPG from developer Lilith Games, the team behind global hits such as AFK Arena and Warpath. The game actually had a Closed Beta back in April, but somehow it was off my detection radar… Anyways, Dislyte is introduced as a “pop-fantasy RPG” with striking audio-visual experience. Set in a futuristic urban playground where mysterious powers and mythology collide, heroes from legends and stories must rise once more and answer the call to defend humanity from its greatest threat.
I am very impressed with this “Pop Fantasy” marketing gimmick. The “Pop” factor comes from the urban settings, neon lights, modern musical instruments, fashion, and many more, while the “Fantasy” factor comes mainly from the characters which are based on mythical figures such as Sun Wukong, Anubis, Fenrir, and more. The core concept is still the tried and tested team-based and turn-based combat, but given a coat of fresh paint. Stay tuned for more updates!
