It was announced earlier today that Nexon Games, formed in 2021 after a merger, is now working on a new “open world action RPG” based on the Dungeon & Fighter IP. You might be wondering why this is news, since the IP belongs to Neople, a subsidiary under Nexon. Well, it is the first time Nexon Games is working on further expanding the IP and not developed by Neople.
Currently codenamed “Project DW,” this new action RPG is being developed for mobile, console, and PC platforms with cross functionalities. Project DW should not be confused with Project DX, the MMORPG based on Durango. Other titles in the works based on Dungeon & Fighter include Project AK and Project Overkill, both over at Neople.
