A few days back at Tokyo Game Show 2021, Square Enix announced that its mobile battle royale, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, will begin pre-registration in October (this month), with an official launch in November. No regions were mentioned, but it is most likely to include both the Japanese and English versions. A new trailer also revealed the various jobs playable in the game, including various classic ones such as Monk and Ninja.
According to a brief interview, Square Enix has no plans for other platforms now and will like to concentrate on the mobile launch. There seems to be other non-battle royale modes in development, although the team did not want to confirm this info. There are a total of 7 ranks in the game for ranking ladder. Players will also be able to summon eidolons such as Ifrit to support them in battle. Stay tuned for updates!
