Ragnarok Begins, which was teased back in 2019, officially enters Closed Beta in South Korea today. While developer Gravity tried to get my Youtube account permanently banned, I did grew up with the Ragnarok IP and am equally excited for this new PC title. A non-target side-scroll action MMORPG, Ragnarok Begins will run its Closed Beta test for just 1 week. The story of Ragnarok Begins takes place 100 years before the original Ragnarok Online game.
According to the official description, the plot will center around the conflict between the Kingdom of Rune-Midgarts (Rune-Midgard) and Principality Arunafeltz. The hidden background of The Pope will also be explored. As a start, there are just 4 main jobs which are will be very familiar to the fans, followed by 2 advanced job choices. Will Ragnarok Begins find success and shake off the curse of Ragnarok Online 2? We shall soon find out!
