It seems like Square Enix is continuing strong on its path to make as many mobile games as possible. Following the recent announcements of Echoes of Mana and Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile, the Japanese developer has once again dug into its massive selection of JRPG franchises and introduced Bravely Default Brilliant Lights to the world. This game got its start just in 2012, but has already seen 3 main games launched on consoles.
According to Square Enix’s PR document, Bravely Default Brilliant Lights is the cumulation of experienced honed over 3 million sold copies and downloads. Other than just new characters, familiar ones from the previous games will be making appearances as well. The classic Brave and Default system will be refined for mobile devices, with series veteran Keiichi Ajiro penning an original story. Closed Beta is expected to start soon in Japan.
