First announced back in 2016, Nexon finally announced that the mobile version of Tree of Savior is entering beta test in Japan on 4 June. Officially titled Re: Tree of Savior, the biggest change from the PC version is the addition of gacha characters (known as “fellows”), with the usual rarity tiers such as R, SR, and UR etc. Players will still get to create their own main character and explore the massive job system found in the original MMORPG.
So, the strategic part for Re: Tree of Savior is choosing which 2 fellows to bring along each adventure, especially those with skills which give players advantage against bosses. There is also a heavy focus on cosmetic items as well, a key function which will definitely bring in the dollars for Nexon. Tree of Savior did relatively well in Japan, hence Nexon is opting to begin the journey there. Stay tuned for updates!
