Korean developer Snowpipe and Japanese IP owner Tomy Company (also known as Takara Tomy) recently announced the public Closed Beta phase for Transformers Alliance in Japan. Rather than being a “normal” mobile game, Transformers Alliance uses AR (Augmented Reality) and LBS (Location-based Service) as its core gameplay function, similar to titles such as Pokemon GO. The public Closed Beta goes live in Japan on 14 April.
