Developer DICE, an EA studio which is overseeing the Battlefield series of games, recently announced it is working on a Battlefield mobile game. Core development will actually take place at Industrial Toys, a new EA studio which was formed to solely create mobile titles.
According to DICE, the unnamed Battlefield mobile game is a standalone game, completely different from the ones on console and PC, designed specifically for the mobile platform. This mobile game is now entering a testing period ahead of launching next year (2022), so stay tuned for updates!
