After being teased for years, it was announced recently that the Regional Beta Test for Apex Legends Mobile will begin later this month to a small amount of players (a few thousand) on the Android platform. While the mobile version stays true to the PC and console versions, there will be no cross-play as the game is specially built for mobile.
While the aim is to launch Apex Legends Mobile worldwide by 2021, it will all be dependable on the beta test phase, where more regions will gradually gain access. As it is a new and separate team working on Apex Legends Mobile, the PC and console versions will not be affected in terms of new content and features.
