Dynasty Scrolls offers nothing new to the mobile games market, and it has the dreaded VIP system along with characters gacha as well. That is a simple summary, and as bad as it sounded, there are still people who love this type of game. Based on the free IP Romance of the Three Kingdoms, there is some uniqueness to the story as players are tasked with destroying the old version of the game, which has now been separated into scrolls. Yeah publisher Yoozoo (or Youzu) is trying very hard to force a “break the 4th wall” scenario into the story, which came out cheesy.
Players will form teams of 6 based on classic characters from Romance of the Three Kingdoms, such as Guan Yu, Liu Bei, Lu Bu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, and many more, each with different roles and abilities. The story mode is kind of interesting, as it relives some original parts of the novel while letting players control some of the more popular and iconic characters. That said, Dynasty Scrolls is a dated mobile game, with no graphical options and rather grainy 2D art on bigger screens. If you are looking for a casual game to try out, Dynasty Scrolls is now available worldwide.
