Chrono Odyssey was first revealed 2 weeks ago when developer NPIXEL announced a new massive investment round. Recently, more details and a trailer were revealed for the game. Developed for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms, Chrono Odyssey is touted as a “space-time epic fantasy” MMORPG, with the story about players fighting against 12 powerful gods.
Some features touted include a “unique job system,” “worlds that transcend space and time,” “large-scale Realm vs Realm battles,” and “highly-controllable strategies and action combat.” Cris Velasco, a composer who worked on major titles such as God of War, TERA, and Overwatch, is part of the soundtrack team working on scores to fit the unique world of Chrono Odyssey.
NPIXEL is now preparing to launch Gran Saga in South Korea (and more regions afterwards), and confirmed that Chrono Odyssey will only enter testing in 2021. The ambitious MMORPG actually started full-blown development back in 2019. The CEO of NPIXEL also assured that User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) will be developed to fit each of the 3 platforms (instead of using one template for all).
