Earlier today, Korean gaming giant Netmarble announced is has acquired all rights to the RF Online IP from original owner CCR. At the time of this article, the company website of CCR does not exist anymore. As with the deal, new owner Netmarble now can create any product related to RF Online. It was also revealed that Netmarble’s team, Netmarble N2, is now working on a mobile game based on RF Online for the global audience. There is no word for a PC or console title so far. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting deal!
Update: It has been confirmed that while the company website of CCR is down, the developer is still in operation. Despite the sale of the “RF Online” IP to Netmarble, CCR plans to continue to work on the original RF Online while focusing on other games, including the Unreal Engine 4 MMORPG, Project Nz.
