It seems Netmarble and WeMade has settled their dispute, as Icarus M is having its final test phase this coming Sunday before the official launch in South Korea. If you did not know, Icarus M was suppsoedly to be published by Netmarble worldwide, but developer WeMade opted out of the deal and set up its own publishing arm, WeMade Service, to operate the game. Interestingly, the final test will only last 2 hours on Android devices from 7PM to 9PM.
Crafted using Unreal Engine 4, Icarus M is partially based on the PC MMORPG, Icarus, which is also developed by WeMade and serviced North America by Nexon. There is currently no update on who will be the new global publisher of Icarus M after the deal with Netmarble was canceled. With 5 playable classes at launch (Gladiator, Artist, Wizard, Ranger, Assassin), the main feature of Icarus M is the exciting mounted aerial combat. Stay tuned for updates!
