[Game website] According to a recent podcast interview between Polygon and Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford, he revealed around 80 percent of the 300-strong development studio are working on the upcoming online team-based shooter, Battleborn. Randy also mentioned Gearbox Software has “invested more than Borderlands 1 and 2 added together into Battleborn.”
Scheduled for launch on 3 May 3 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC, it seems ambitions are high at Gearbox despite facing stiff competition from major developers such as Blizzard (Overwatch), Hi-Rez Studios (Paladins), and even from new studios such as Motiga (Gigantic).
