As the first project by Kim Hyung Tae, the former Art Director of Blade & Soul, Destiny Child has gotten much attention and curious onlookers in South Korea. Earlier today, at a media conference, the first game trailer for Destiny Child was revealed. Co-developed by NextFloor and ShiftUp, players are taking part in a “Demon King selection tournament”, fighting others with the help of summons.
The theme song of Desinty Child, Plastic City, is performed by Shihoko Hirata, who also sung for Persona 4, if my information is correct. ESTi of the famous video game music group, soundTeMP, is also part of the project. The game apparently uses a unique system which allows moving 2D images to look like 3D ones. Destiny Child is scheduled to enter Closed Beta in South Korea next February.
