Launched in April 2013, the competitive game known as Panzar (originally Forged by Chaos) has remained slightly off the radar for the past few years. Crafted using CryEngine 3, it was recently reported in the Chinese media that Perfect World has signed the skill-based game for the China market, apparently to boost its stable of competitive online games. There is no confirmation for now.
If the rumors are true, Panzar will join Dota 2 and HEX: Shards of Fate in Perfect World China’s exclusive list of Western-developed games. Panzar does not play similarly to MOBA titles such as SMITE, but has 19 different maps each with different objectives, closer to Heroes of the Storm’s style of play.
