During the BUILD 2015 developer’s conference last week, representatives from Microsoft showcased the latest advancements in their DirectX technology with DirectX 12. Featured prominently in their presentation was upcoming martial arts MOBA from Snail Games, King of Wushu. The game is currently available for PlayStation 4 in China, with an English launch scheduled for the future.
The presentation aimed to demonstrate new features available in DX 12, using the experiences from Snail’s developers porting King of Wushu from DirectX 11 to 12 to do so, making it the first game from a Chinese developer to utilize the technology. Snail released a new trailer offering side-by-side comparisons of DirectX 11 and 12, and noting a number of impressive results from the project.
