For those who did not know, Korean developer Gala Lab has cancelled Flyff 2, but it is focused on bringing the Flyff experience to mobile. One of the first Flyff mobile games, Flyff All Stars is now available in over 130 countries on iOS and Android. 2015 will be the 10th anniversary of Flyff Online, which has been serviced in over 30 countries in 10 languages and enjoyed by over 50 million people.
According to Gala Lab, Flyff Online is a PC title and converting into Flyff All Stars was the key focus during game design. One design detail is the usage of portrait layout to allow more convenient control during gameplay. Keeping the RPG aspect alive was the utmost crucial factor.
Gala Lab also mentioned about the pains of developing Flyff All Stars. As RPG is one of the most complex game genres to develop, squeezing the client game experience into a small mobile device was a very challenging experience for everyone in the studio. Many aspects of the game had to be re-designed multiple times to make sure the game fits in a smaller screen and can played anywhere.
