Point Blank used to be published by NCsoft in the domestic Korea market, but closed down back in July 2011. Developer Zepetto then took Point Blank overseas, which proved to be a successful move. Today, Zepetto officially re-launched Point Blank in Korea, acting as the publisher as well.
Zepetto claims that Point Blank has launched in over 70 countries, with around 84 million registered users. A world championship tournament has been held since 2011 for Point Blank, with this year’s held in Istanbul, Turkey. The current English version is apparently known as Project Blackout.
