Expanding its portfolio to mobile games, NCsoft has announced Blade & Soul Mobile, based on the online game currently taking Asia by storm. The core gameplay focuses on collecting character cards (2D) and turn-based combat (3D). The cute SD design will certainly appeal to a larger crowd.
Along with the kawaii character appearances, the story has been edited to focus on love rather than on revenge. Blade & Soul Mobile will launch on iOS and Android next year, with the current test version running smoothly on Samsung Galaxy S2 and Apple iPhone 4S.
Update: According to the development panel, there will be some interactions with the PC version of Blade & Soul, although the details are still being discusses. There is not launch date scheduled.
