Phantasy Star Online 2 Japan has teamed up with several animes before, with the 1 of the most recent being Attack on Titan. Developer SEGA revealed another collaboration recently, this time with the anime “The Irregular at Magic High School”, 1 of the top series currently running.
Few details are known (including the date), but I am guessing there will be exclusive cash costumes. Other tie-ups, happening in July, will be with classic SEGA franchises, Shining Force Cross Exlesia and Virtual ON. That mecha from Virtual ON seriously looks like a machine from Super Robot Wars.
As reported earlier, Episode 3 for Phantasy Star Online 2 will be arriving in Japan this August, with a brand new class, Bouncer, 2 new weapons, new maps and more. Before that happens, SEGA will be adding more balancing and gameplay updates, making it 1 of my favorite developers of all time.
