Man, I still remember the days I play Contra with my cousin, spinning, jumping and shooting that final stuck-to-the-wall alien boss to death (I think it was the other way round though). Contra: Evolution is a mobile game, and was released on iTunes yesterday in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Yeah, it is in Chinese only. The app costs USD 2.00, with in-game micro-transactions as well.
Although creating a China iTunes account seems to be an easy way to get the app, but there is a barrier. To purchase the app, a China-based bank account is needed. What a pity 
Contra: Evolution is currently the no.2 paid app in China, which is an amazing start for this classic title.
Before I forget, 2 new female characters are also added to the game. I guess no explanation is needed on their combat styles. Why isn’t this game on systems like PlayStation Vita or Nintendo 3DS already? And why is it only for the Chinese market? Sigh…
