World of Tanks, since making its debut in Russia back in 2010, has made huge waves in the gaming industry with its rapid global expansion. 2012 saw the game’s biggest year yet, with record-breaking player numbers and hours played. According to the latest interview, developer Wargaming.net is also looking to expand further into Asia, with offices at Australia, Japan, Taiwan and more being set up.
A video was recently uploaded as well by Wargaming, offering a look back at an eventful year. And of course, I was invited to Gamescom 2012 by the company as well, which was my maiden trip to Europe 🙂 World of Warplanes and World of Warships are next in the lineup, along with a card game (World of Tanks Generals) for both Facebook and physical gameplay.
