Foregoing the normal color and gem schemes found in the franchise’s long history, Nintendo just announced the 6th generation titles, Pokémon X and Y. This will be the first Pokémon game for the company’s handheld consoles to be in full 3D, away from the days of 2D sprites. Pokémon X and Y will launch worldwide in October 2013, which is also the first time a Pokémon title is being sold in the same time frame everywhere.
Seen in the video are the 3 starter Pokémons, and also the 2 legendary ones representing each game. Other than going full 3D, there will be CG graphics used for cut scenes as well. I am really stoked even though I play online games most of the time, and has always been a huge Pokémon fan all these years 🙂
