It was announced today that global gaming giant Netmarble has acquired Team Soul Eve, the small group of indie developers which had been working on OverPrime. If you did not know, OverPrime is an effort to continue the legacy of Paragon, Epic Games’ failed 3D MOBA title for the PC.
Since the game’s demise, Epic Games had made all assets available for free and Team Soul Eve was trying to revamp Paragon as OverPrime while working other jobs. Netmarble confirmed that Team Soul Eve will join Netmarble F&C, the internal studio which made The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross.
The members will still continue work on OverPrime instead of other projects, with Netmarble looking to join the PC esports market in the near future. There is currently no schedule for the launch of OverPrime, so stay tuned for updates!
