Well, Dragon’s Prophet ain’t exactly Runes of Magic 2, but it is indeed the 2nd title for Taiwanese developer Runewaker. The studio’s maiden title, Runes of Magic, was localized in many regions and gained a huge following and success over the past few years. It is only a matter of time before the next title was put into development, and that resulted in Dragon’s Prophet.
Not much is known about the game now, but as seen from the trailer and screenshots, it will still be a Western influenced world, with the dragon being the telltale sign. Work on the game only started 8 months ago, with a staff of 80.
Players will apparently be able to tame all kinds of dragons (8 species in total) and keep them as supportive pets. Dragon’s Prophet is scheduled to be officially revealed in the 2nd quarter of 2012.
