According to multiple reports from South Korea, developer Red Duck has run into financial issues and has granted by the local court time to restructure its company and come up with a recovery proposal. If you did not know, Red Duck is most well-known for developing Alliance of Valiant Arms (A.V.A), a very popular online FPS in different regions. However, its subsequent game such as Metro Conflict, although signed by Tencent in China, failed to launch. A few other mobile games has also dropped off the map without an official release.
Red Duck has until 20 July to submit its proposal to the court. However, this proposal must be agreed by all parties in-charge of the company, including shareholders and investors. Alliance of Valiant Arms (A.V.A) is still operating under Neowiz in South Korea, and Neowiz is holding emergency talks with Red Duck. In other countries, En Masse has just announced the closure of A.V.A, while Metro Conflict is still floundering on Steam under Red Duck. Mobile titles based on A.V.A including AIMS and Guns of Fire were apparently cancelled.
