Hyped in South Korea as the “Asian World of Warcraft” and featured by Crytek in various highlight reels, the CryEngine-powered Asta is shutting down in South Korea on 23 August. Published by NHN, which is shifting to mobile games, Asta went really silent after its first update in December 2013. The China server was also announced last year, but it seems the game will not launch afterall.
