If you are a soccer fan, you might have already read about Chelsea’s Didier Drogba sealing a move to China’s Shanghai Shenhua a few hours ago. Reportedly being paid millions and millions more than his previous wages, Drogba is also the new face for PlanetSide 2 in China. You see, Shanghai Shenhua’s owner (left) is also the big boss of China MMO company The9, which is also the publisher for PlanetSide 2.
In the pictures above and below, you can see PlanetSide 2’s Chinese logo splashed across the jersey. Nicholas Anelka is also currently a member of Shanghai Shenhua, and he is the spokesperson for Firefall China (link), also under The9.
ChinaJoy 2012 is fast approaching come end July, and The9 announced its whole stage will just accommodate PlanetSide 2. The early stage design is seen below (click for bigger image).
