China powerhouse Tencent just invested 500 million USD in Korean gaming publisher/ developer, CJ Games. Tencent is now the 3rd biggest shareholder of CJ Games. On a side note, 50% of Tencent’s revenue in 2013 apparently came from gaming operations.
CJ Games, a subsidiary of CJ E&M, has game portals in several countries, including Taiwan, Japan, USA, Indonesia, Turkey, Thailand and China. It is also known for the game portal, Netmarble, which published several English games before such as Prius Online.
