Roughly translated as “Prelude to Flames”, part 1 of the update arrived yesterday for the Taiwan server of Fantasy Frontier, also known as Aura Kingdom. The update was teased previously, so let’s take a closer look at what will be in Part 1 (no indication on how many parts there will be).
The 2 new maps, loosely translated as Griffon Highlands and Grand Ice Cliff, will be sort of a “PvE battlefield”, with players aiding NPCs to defeat the enemies from the main story. Players are not expected just to mindlessly kill enemies, as the gliding skill will come into usefulness at parts, and apparently there are mechas which player can board and control as well!
At the end, the fearsome ancient demon, Baphomet, will be awaiting everyone (party recommended)! Players may only accept the main quest for these 2 maps once per day, with rewards ranging from vouchers exchanging for the new ultimate skills, Frontier points and more.
Sky Tower will see level 16 to 20 implemented, with the guardians getting more powerful than ever. The new Eidolon will be Hera, the Queen of Nifelheim. Powered with dark energy, she is apparently focused on dealing speedy burst damage with her kicks.
Other features include the new abilities for legacy weapons, UI change for fishing, a new quest to fish for a Leviathan pet (seen below), and players in 5-man dungeons will still receive EXP even if they do not attack. The Tachi weapon will be making its debut in the next update, scheduled for 23rd January.
