While not following the trend now to churn out a non-target action game, Bless is setting itself apart with the gorgeous designs of the game world. These include towns, environments, attention to details and of course, armour and costumes. The storyline is another main feature as well.
Talking about armour and costume designs, the developer stated that they are drawn according to the different cultures and race players choose at the beginning. The designs are also affected by the surrounding environments, depending on where they were obtained.
An example will be a barren land and the scorching desert, where starting players will wear light clothings rather than armour such as light mail. As seen in 1 of the image below, there are also the standard armour types found in most games – robe, light, medium, heavy and the new “massive”.
Interestingly, the issue of “overexposure” and “lesser clothing has more defence” debate for female characters was touched on as well. It was mentioned that the level of exposure will differ between races. “Exposing” designs are not intentional, but rather to fit the settings and showcase “elegance”.
