Back in July 2021, it was announced that Korean developer Hound13 received a major investment from Singapore-based game publisher Garena and is working on Project D and Project M. Today, the first look at Project D was showcased for the first time in an official in-development game trailer! Project D is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and developed for both mobile and PC platforms.
According to the official description, Project D aims for manual action play with a sense of hitting along with in-depth scenarios and is being developed into a semi-open world structure based on fields and various interactions. Based on the cute character visual concept that can be communicated at home and abroad, the goal is to implement a bright, light, yet immersive action.
If the trailer looks somewhat familiar, it is probably because the core team of Hound13 comes from Eyedentity, the studio which made the massive PC MMORPG hit, Dragon Nest. After being bought by Chinese company Shanda many years back, Eyedentity started losing its identity (no pun intended) and hence an exodus of staff looking to strike it out on their own. Stay tuned for updates!
