Aion 2 was first announced way back in 2018, and since then there were no substantial updates on the game. In fact, we do not know if they storyline is still the same! During yesterday’s quarterly financial call, a brief update was provided by NCsoft. Aion 2 is currently being developed using Unreal Engine 5, and the plan is to have a simultaneous global launch.
That is all on Aion 2, with NCsoft declining to provide a rough schedule. For other games, Throne and Liberty is expected to launch in the first half of 2023, although that is unconfirmed as well. The business model is not set in stone, although NCsoft mentioned they noticed how gamers are open to Battle Pass and DLC. A new trailer for Throne and Liberty will be shown before 2022 ends.
