I first tried Dragon Sword months ago here, but unfortunately the videos have gone down together with my old YouTube account. China’s no.2 online games developer and publisher, Netease, will be launching the non-wipe Closed Beta phase for the game on 6th November.
The main features which drew me to the game was the non-target action combat, which is 90% similar to the combat system found in Dragon Nest. For this upcoming phase, the world map will be 10 times larger than what I experienced, with a reported seamless world with no “air barriers”.
In a recent interview, it was mentioned that to travel the whole world of Dragon Sword, it would take 1 day of real time. Also added will be the 100-man PvP battlefield, guild fortresses, guild vs guild, economy system, castle siege and basically everything else related to PvP 😀
In the works are also an active day/night system which will affect certain areas, an underwater world and more civilizations based on ancient China, India, Egypt and even Cuba! According to reports, several overseas publishers have already reached out to Netease for negotiations.
