A sci-fi MMORPG developed by Sonov Entertainment, known for Shaiya Online and the recently announced Project Mercury, Berkanix’s latest trailer was just revealed recently. Costing up to 100 billion Korean Won (nearly USD 900,000), exhausting up to a period of 5 years and utilizing the high grade graphics of the Unreal 3 Engine, the game will place players as galaxy travelers looking for a new planet to call home. When they eventually found one with the perfect environment, they realized that the native inhabitants are not really amused by the sudden intrusion…
As you can see from the trailer above, there are supposedly 4 classes introduced for now. BERKANIX also has an interesting equipment system, as you can see from the artwork below. Fancy wielding a plasma sword in one hand and a laser gun in the other? Total awesomeness!
The game is expected to officially enter its first Closed Beta phase by the end of this year in Korea. Fans of the rare sci-fi genre MMOs should really look out for this one as I have no doubts it will be hitting English shores in due time.
