First revealed back in 2009, the Taiwan-developed game was subsequently announced for both North America and Europe regions, only for them to fade into oblivion. It really left me puzzled, since the main Taiwan server did not go live at all. What were the 2 English publishers thinking?
Things are about to change, as developer XPEC Entertainment is apparently teaming up with publisher, WAYI, to finally Bounty Hounds Online sometime next month. Both the English servers’ future are still unknown at this time.
To recap, Bounty Hounds Online is based on a 2006 PlayStation Portable (PSP) title, also developed by XPEC with Namco Bandai owning the IP rights. Playing as mercenaries, otherwise known as Hunters, players are sent to a planet to hunt aliens together with their transformable pets.
Given that the game is taking place on alien planets, there will be several planets to explore as well, with content for 3 of them ready, and 3 more under development. Of course, there will be PvP features as well, highlighted by the 100 vs 100 battlefield.
