More famously known as the publisher for Wargaming’s titles and the upcoming localized version for Guild Wars 2 in China, most forget that KongZhong is a games developer as well. The company’s latest self-developed title is of the martial arts genre, titled Master of Meteor Blades.
Before you go “oh, another Age of Wushu”, the developer claimed that there is no PvE in the game at all. New equipments need to be crafted in main towns, while the materials drop from killing players. There is apparently no level system, with the strength of each player judged by their accumulated battle points.
There are also 15 weapons to choose from eventually, which will determine the “class”. Chained combos are important here, pretty much like arcade fighters.
Detailed information is minimal now, but I guess this is like an arena-style PvP martial arts game, similar to a 3rd person shooter minus the guns, adding in the different weapons and martial arts moves. Master of Meteor Blades enter its first test phase on 27th April, where only a handful of testers will be chosen.
