1) Best Landing Strategies & Drop Locations
Your ideal landing spot depends on both the map and your preferred playstyle. Aggressive players should land in high-loot areas with plenty of early fights, while defensive players benefit from quieter locations where they can gear up safely before rotating. For example, for Bermuda, the following choices might be suitable for both play styles:

Regardless of the map, avoid dropping directly beneath the plane’s flight path unless you’re specifically looking for early combat. Using zip lines and launch pads early lets you rotate before long-range snipers establish strong positions. Keep garage locations in mind: if a safe zone appears far away, you’ll need a vehicle to get there quickly.
2) Survival Tips
Vests and helmets should always be your loot priority. Defensive gear should almost always take priority over weapons. A powerful rifle won’t help if you’re eliminated before you can use it. Ideally, you should try not to engage in combat without acquiring a Level 2 Vest, a Level 2 Helmet, and 3+ Gloo Walls.
Prefer high-ground during combat. There’s a reason Obi-Wan loved the high ground. Elevated positions provide better sightlines, safer angles, and more cover during fights. When aiming, focus not on your opponent’s head, but on the point where their neck meets their body. Recoil will help your shot hit your opponent’s head. Setting aim precision to “default” in the settings will make this easier, especially in close-to-middle firefights.
Don’t forget to use your Gloo Wall, but once you’ve placed it, don’t just stay in the same spot. Reposition immediately and force your opponent to guess where you’ll peek from next. You can also use a Gloo Wall as bait by encouraging your opponent to push one side while you attack from another angle or position (for example, from prone).
If you’re playing solo, don’t consider joining a firefight you hear. Be cautious about rushing toward gunfire in solo matches. Ongoing fights often attract a fourth player waiting to eliminate weakened survivors, making these situations far riskier than they first appear.
3) Optimize Your Points & Rank Up Faster
Winning matches is the fastest way to climb the ranked ladder, but consistent progress also comes from surviving longer and earning enough eliminations. To increase (or maintain) your rank, you can also:
- Finish in the top 10 at the end of the match (prevents rank drop)
- Survive for 10+ minutes (increases your bonus score)
- Get 3 kills (kill point multiplier cap for solo players)
Avoid taking unnecessary risks simply to chase a Booyah. Consistently reaching the late game while securing a few kills is often the fastest way to climb the ranks.
