Netmarble today unveiled the official game website for Solo Leveling: ARISE, its upcoming action RPG on the mobile and PC platforms with cross-play support. The game is based on the popular webtoons series Solo Leveling, set in a world where dimension gates appear and bring new threats to civilization. Talented “hunters” protect mankind by entering dungeons and battling deadly hordes of monsters.
The story follows Sung Jinwoo, a weak E-Rank hunter who narrowly survives a very difficult “Double Dungeon” hidden inside a low-level D-Rank gate. Jinwoo awakens from this experience with new rare abilities while also discovering he alone can “level up” by defeating monsters and completing quests.
Solo Leveling: ARISE faithfully reproduces the original webtoon series through immersive storytelling, action RPG mechanics, dynamic combat and fast-paced gameplay. The game features beloved hunters including the main character Sung Jinwoo, Cha Haein, Yoo Jinho and more. Players can expect to master each hunter’s abilities and combine their powers to quickly clear each gate. Taken directly from the webtoon, players can also defeat enemies, extract their shadows and have them fight on their side, ultimately forming their very own Army of Shadows. Unique strategies and skills are needed to defeat magic beasts who challenge players at every dungeon.
The official anime series based on Solo Leveling is scheduled to air in Japan starting January 2024, with a teaser trailer shown just recently. Stay tuned for more updates!
