It has been some time since we last heard about anything major for Netmarble’s Seven Knights Revolution, with the last being pre-registration starting in South Korea last December. That changed yesterday during a media event held by Netmarble to announce the official launch date for the game, as well as providing more game details to the attendees and the media outlets. Here is a quick look at some important details mentioned.
• The official launch date for Seven Knights Revolution in South Korea is July 28, 2022.
• Netmarble claims 2022 is the year for IP expansion, starting with Seven Knights.
• This is the 4th game with the “Revolution” naming added. It was claimed that games with this name aims to surpass the quality of the previous game.
• Netmarble Nexus, the internal team which is developing Seven Knights Revolution, confirmed that the game is a cooperative MMORPG, rather than a competitive one, where gamers can play with their friends.
• Seven Knights Revolution is set in a parallel Seven Knights world where players will be able to transform into several different heroes, pretty much similar to the anime series.
• There are parts of the worldview which relates to the original Seven Knights game, but are not connected.
• There are no fixed classes for the default character, and skills and fighting styles depends on which weapon is equipped.
• Players can change into the same heroes, but might have different stats and skills and weapons.
• It was touted that Seven Knights Revolution has a “refined” non target combat system where players can truly enjoy the thrills of real-time combat.
• Seven Knights Revolution features only a single world and single server for all players (at least for the South Korean server).
• There is a player land system known as Nexus, where players can own a piece of private land. This piece of land can be upgraded and expanded, and also be shared with other players.
• There are the standard guild features as well, including PVE and PVP modes.
• There are even casual features such as singing and performing.
• Seven Knights Revolution will launch on both mobile and PC platforms.
• The global version of Seven Knights Revolution will “quickly” be prepared after the Korean launch.
• Development of the game took around 4 years, with about 100 developers on the team.
• Hero transformation cards can be obtained through quests, in-game crafting, and summoning (which means gacha I think). There are currently 20 heroes in the game, with over 100 in preparation and will be added through monthly updates.
• New story content is expected to be added every 3-4 months.
• Netmarble’s CEO confirmed that a new game using the Seven Knights IP is in development.
