Right after Korean developer Krafton announced the closure of TERA in its domestic market, the European publisher Gameforge has also announced that the EU server is shutting down as well. In fact, Krafton has confirmed that all versions of TERA will sunsetting starting today. TERA first launched in South Korea on January 11, 2011, by studio Bluehole (now under Krafton).

A short reason was provided by Krafton, stating that “Under current situation, they are not able to continue to provide players with a satisfying and enjoyable experience.” Services related to TERA in South Korea will gradually shutdown, with the final closure date on 30 June, 2022. The EU server will be switched off at 10 AM CEST (4 AM EDT) on 30th June 2022.
