After months of teasing and a short Closed Beta, Square Enix finally announced the start of pre-registration for Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier! At press time, there doesn’t seem to be any IP blocking, as I could pre-register from Southeast Asia, a region tend to be left behind. As the official website describes, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is a high-octane battle royale game, infused with RPG elements from the Final Fantasy series. Set in Midgar prior to the events of Final Fantasy VII, players fight to join the ranks of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit while utilizing spells, weapons, and special abilities to defeat opponents and claim victory.
