Square Enix recently announced the English Closed Beta schedule for its upcoming mobile-only battle royale, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. It will only be available for gamers in US and Canada, and just on Android devices through Google Play. If you did not know, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is described as a “high-octane” battle royale with RPG elements from the Final Fantasy series.

Set in Midgar prior to the event of the original Final Fantasy VII, players must fight to join the ranks of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit while utilizing spells, weapons, and special abilities to defeat all which stand in the way. As this is Closed Beta, various features will not be available, along with the unavoidable bugs and technical issues. Stay tuned for updates!
