Just before Christmas a couple of day back, Japanese games developer SEGA Sammy Holdings announced that it had merged subsidiary SEGA Interactive into SEGA Games, effective since 20 September 2019. Furthermore, on 1 April 2020, SEGA Games will be renamed as SEGA Corporation. The change comes as SEGA Sammy Holdings, the parent company right at the top, decided to push more into global markets after performances in Japan, especially in mobile games, did not hit various medium-term targets previously set.
