[Source] It was announced earlier today that Mike O’Brien, the co-founder and former President of Guild Wars developer ArenaNet, is leaving the company. He will move on and form a new studio with his friends next week with the aim of making “small games again.” It seems to be an amicable departure, as Mike O’Brien also thanked NCsoft for the support provided over the years. According to Kotaku, he was actually working on a potential sequel to Guild Wars 2 before the announcement. Before founding ArenaNet, Mike O’Brien worked in Blizzard on Warcraft 3 and Battle.net. Can’t wait to see what he puts out next!
