[Steam page] First announced earlier this year, The Black Masses is an open world first-person fantasy co-op RPG currently in development by indie team Brilliant Game Studios. To briefly summarize, The Black Masses is essentially a survival game where players must fight off “hundreds of thousands” of possessed inhabitants using powerful abilities or escape by traversing buildings and obstacles using the parkour system. Sounds bloody fun!
With The Black Masses, Brilliant Game Studios is touting its in-house “next generation of crowd rendering technology rebuilt from Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator“, which gives the team the ability to generate the aforementioned “hundreds of thousands” enemies on the massive 16 square kilometer island. Just a warning, The Black Masses contains blood and gore, along with graphic violence such as dismemberment. It is set to launch Spring 2019.
