Just last week, Tencent announced it has struck a deal with PUBG Corporation (company under developer Bluehole) to publish an edited version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in China. Along with that news, a mobile game version was also confirmed. Earlier today, Tencent revealed the debut game trailer for PUBG: Army Assault (or PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds M), which apparently has features not found in the PC version. We can’t help but to wonder if Tencent actually started on the project before reaching an official deal…

From the trailer, we can spot gameplay unique to the mobile version, including speedboat chasing, some serious naval warfare, helicopters joining in aerial combat, and many more. Why does PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds M looks so much more interesting and whole? According to the game website, over 1 million Chinese players have pre-registered for the game, with the event ongoing until Closed Beta begins on an unspecified date. Stay tuned!
