Aion – Korean server switching to Free-to-Play model in January

According to news outlets in South Korea, the Korean server of Aion will finally convert to a from the monthly subscription business model to Free-to-Play model with cash item shop. This change, which takes place around the time of Aion’s 10th anniversary, will be part of the big REFLY update happening on 17 January 2018. REFLY will also introduce other changes such as character growth speed, class balancing, new PVE + PVP map, and a brand new server. Revenue for Aion will most definitely increase due to the change in business model.
